The Role

Office based, 5 days a week, working in Dunholme, Lincoln.

The candidate must have road & sewer experience / background with knowledge of aspects of groundworks to DPC on new build developments and building work.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate is organised, can multi-task, has attention to detail, confident with MS Office tools and have good communication skills

Ability to work alone but can liaise with different members of staff and various suppliers, use of conquest estimating software would be an advantage.



Handling multiple road and sewer projects including oversites and building works as required up to £2m, be able to understand construction drawings to take off quantities, utilising specialist estimating software packages (Conquest). Having the ability and experience to work independently to produce accurate and competitive tenders


  • Appraising tender documents, preparing sub-contract and material enquiries


  • Producing bills of quantities


  • Risk and value management


  • Preparation of budgets, estimates and cost plans


  • Internal Tender adjudications and external client presentations.


  • Have a good understanding of current CDM 2015 Health and Safety requirements, modern methods of construction and contractual awareness.



The ideal candidate with have experience in;


  • Highly organised and commercially astute

  • Working in the Construction / Civil Engineering Industry

  • Fully conversant with Conquest Estimating

  • Working experience of presenting technical and complex information to an adjudication panel

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise own workload

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • First rate communication skills both written and verbal

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience

Road & Sewer Gangs

Due to our forthcoming workload and secured new contracts we require: Road & Sewer Gangs


To lead a 3man gang carrying out all aspects of construction works including drainage and road construction


(CPCS / NPORS card essential)

To work with the above foreman to have full capability of driving 360 excavators over 20 ton and 180 excavators


To be the third man in the gang having full knowledge to assist the above foreman in all roles described.

CPCS / NPORS and CSCS cards required.  Transport provided for the gang

and good rates of pay

Experienced Groundworkers & Machine Operatives

Competent in all aspects of construction work including deep drainage and road construction for sites around Lincolnshire.


Machine Operators must hold valid CPCS/NPORS card. Groundworkers must hold a valid CSCS Card.


Use of GPS Equipment would be an advantage however not essential.


  • 22 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays.

Vehicle & Plant Administrator

This is a key role, working with 80 site-based construction workers and the Operations Manager.


  • Co-ordinating 3 x HGV drivers’ daily diaries for aggregate collections/deliveries to our sites across Lincolnshire

  • Loading and matching HGV daily delivery/collection tickets

  • Responsible for nominating aggregate collections from pre-selected suppliers, based on cost and destination.  

  • Co-ordinating Vehicle Tax, MOT & Servicing on our fleet of 100 road-going vehicles

  • Co-ordinating servicing & repairs on our small and Heavy fleet of plant

  • Co-ordinating new plant with our insurers

  • Work with our Vehicle & Plant Tracking suppliers to install new trackers and also assist in data analysis

  • Manage Fuel cards

  • Assist in getting new vehicles onto the road. Log Books, sign writing and ply lining co-ordination.

  • Co-ordinate replacement Vehicle Hire


The ideal candidate is organised, multi-tasker, good attention to detail, confident with MS Office tools and have good communication skills.


This role involves a lot of telephone communication with our site workers, suppliers and office staff. Along with heavy use of our computer systems and supplier web portals.


The ideal candidate with have experience working within a transport office.


The Package


Type: Full Time Position

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm (1 hr for lunch)

Holidays: 26 days Annual Holiday (plus Bank Holidays)
