The Role

As a Construction & Demolition Wash Plant Operator you will enjoy working in a ‘hands on’ practical position within a busy Quarry environment alongside a close-knit group of colleagues.

This varied position involves a range of responsibilities, including carrying out daily plant checks, performing minor repairs under the direction of site management, and helping to ensure daily production targets are met. You will also assist in planning preventative maintenance activities and contribute to the smooth, efficient running of the wash plant.

Quality checks on processed materials exiting wash plant conveyor belts, along with ensuring that feed materials entering the hopper are correct, communicating with the shovel driver or other team members to make necessary adjustments.

Supporting the Quarry Manager in upholding the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental management.

Keep accurate records of production and consumption of materials that the wash plant produces.

The Candidate

We are seeking a flexible, self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a proactive approach to work.
Experience in plant operations, particularly screening, crushing, or washing of aggregates is desirable, but full training and development will be provided for candidates who demonstrate the right aptitude and commitment to succeed in this role.

Please note that this role involves working outdoors in a range of weather conditions, including temperature variations and other environmental factors typical of a quarry setting.

Hours:                 Monday to Friday 7.00am to 5.00pm (Overtime & occasional Saturdays maybe required)

Holidays:            22 days Annual Holiday (plus Bank Holidays)
